Craig “Huggy Bear” Highline April 1, 1956 - October 16, 2008 In Remembrance of...
On October 16, 2008 - a wonderful light in my life was extinguished forever. Not a day goes by when I don't think of, miss or wish I could talk to my dear Officer Craig "Huggy Bear" Highline. As I have become an empty nester - I am angry that we don't have this time together. I still hear the words from the poem “The Folded Page”- “Teacher says to leave the page folded as some things are hard to understand” echo in my head. There are no words to comprehend. Dear Craig - I love you, I miss you. But most of all I miss being able to share my day to day with you. I wish you could see the wonderful people our children have become as well as meet and enjoy all the grand kids! You will forever be in my heart! In the words of Rose Kennedy, " It has been said that time heals all wounds. I don't agree. The wounds remain. In time, the mind, protecting its sanity, covers them with scar tissue and the pain lessens, but the pain is never gone.”
