AICC Meeting Offers Optional Events: Racing, Shopping, Wine, Aerial Trams In addition to the many educational sessions and inspira- tional speakers, not to mention a 50th Anniversary Cel- ebration, attendees at the AICC Spring Meeting on April 8-10 will have a host of optional events to keep them en- tertained at this year's big event. Registration includes transportation to and from the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort in Palm Desert, California: • BMW Driving Experience , 7:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Mon- day: Spend time with a team of expert training instruc- tors from the BMW Driver’s Program on a state-of-the- art test track. Drivers will race vehicles head-to-head in an old school, street style drag race. The participants will race head-to-head on an oval style course that will

be setup on a dynamic BMW skid pad. All stability control assistance will be disabled, and all the cars’ available horsepower will be at the driver’s disposal. Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid driver’s license.

• Shopping Shuttles , 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday: AICC will provide free shut- tles to the El Paseo and downtown Palm Springs areas for attendees to utilize at their leisure. El Paseo features an ele- gant mix of more than 300 international designers, specialty retailers, art galler- ies and fine restaurants. Downtown Palm Springs is a haute spot for shopping and exploring with world famous sights to in- clude the Rowan, Marilyn Monroe Statue, and a myriad of local eateries and shops featuring world famous designers. • Palm Springs Aerial Tram & Lunch at Lulu’s , 12:00 to 5 p.m., Tuesday: The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway has the world’s largest rotating tram car and travels over 2.5 miles along the cliffs of Chino Can- yon. It transports visitors to the pristine wilderness of the Mt. San Jacinto State Park and Wilderness Area. At the tram’s Mountain Station, elevation 8,516 feet and 30 degrees cooler than the desert floor, guests will enjoy 180 degrees of spectacular views of the valley, hike miles of trails, watch two documentary films, or visit the natural history museum. • Temecula Winery Tours & Lunch , 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday: Temecula is California’s premier wine destination. This half-day experience features tastings and a private lunch served at Wilson Creek Winery, where guests enjoy farm-to-table selections and stunning views of the 350- acre vineyard.
