Pregnancy Policy Lindblad does not have a policy in effect and takes pregnant clients on a case-by-case basis. They rely upon the opinion and advice of the woman’s own physician. (It also depends on the destination and trip.) Lindblad does have a consulting doctor and, if you will provide specifics, he will be consulted. Children’s Programs Lindblad Expeditions has introduced National Geographic Global Explorers program. This new program offers activities for kids and teens like earning a Zodiac “driver’s License”, recording wildlife sightings, participate in daily field activities. This program will be featured on select Galapagos and Alaska sailings. Their cruises are designed so that family members of all ages can enjoy their voyage. Hands-on learning with onboard naturalists, kayaking, snorkeling, and hands-on science can offer fun for active and curios children. The ships are small so the children are never far from their parents. There is a relaxed and casual environment on board. Their small ship allows for up-close explorations and there are trained leaders and guides on board each ship to give insights into each destination. Destinations Alaska Children eight and older are welcome on any departure. Exceptions for children seven years and younger may be made; call Un-Cruise Adventures or your travel agent to request pre-approval. On private charters of any vessel, all ages are welcome and any age restrictions are waived. For sailings aboard the Safari Quest, children must be at least fourteen; Safari Quest welcomes children ages thirteen and younger on private yacht charters only. Babysitting This line does not offer babysitting services. Pregnancy Policy Due to the limitations of vessel facilities, bookings cannot be accepted for women who will be 30 weeks or more pregnant at the conclusion of travel. Women in their third trimester (greater than 24 weeks, but less than 30 weeks) must submit a letter from their physician granting permission to travel by boat (and for air travel, if applicable).
