Chapter X
Cruise Lines Bring TV Shows, Movies and Games to Life Cruise lines are always looking for new ways to keep passengers entertained. Our kids spend so much of their time looking at screens that we hope that vacation is a time to set those phones down. But no need to limit screen time here. Cruise lines have put together fun, interactive programming where your family become the show. Here are some fun favorites you might want to
check out on your next cruise. Carnival Cruise Line
Carnival brings your family’s favorite Hasbro game shows to life! Hasbro The Game show brings Hasbro games like Connect 4, Yahtzee, Simon Flash and more to a game show experience where passengers compete for Hasbro themed prizes. Or if Clue is your favorite, you might enjoy Clue: The Murder Mystery. The ship is the game board and you’ll find clues at different events throughout the cruise to help you figure out who killed Mr. Body. Carnival Cruise Line lets you participate in a Lip Sync Battle. Passengers become contestants in Carnival’s version of Spike TV’s fun show Lip Sync Battle. Get ready to show off your sweet skills. Contestants will be chosen at the beginning of the cruise. Competition rounds will be performed during the cruise until just 2 finalists remain. They will battle it out in two rounds to select a champion! The final round will be a show everyone can enjoy with props, lights and costumes. Carnival’s children’s programing brings Dr. Seuss characters to life with parades, story time, and themed areas that are as colorful as a Dr. Seuss book they’re based on. These favorite characters will make children smile and bring back great memories for the adults onboard. Celebrity Cruises Celebrity Cruises offers Top Chef at Sea. Based on the popular Bravo television show, passengers can participate in Quickfire Challenges and show off their culinary skills. There is even a Top Chef night in the main restaurant on some sailings. Be sure to check out your activities guide each day you’re on board so you don’t miss out on this fun. Costa Cruises If you have a preschooler, you’re probably familiar with Peppa Pig. Peppa Pig makes appearance onboard Costa Cruises sailings. With meet and greets, dance parties, and special character lunches, your little ones will enjoy meeting this popular character! Disney Cruise Line Disney Cruise Line of course features tons of characters and activities based on their popular movies and television shows. But it’s not just Mickey and Minnie you will find onboard. Disney offers special Star Wars and Marvel days at sea on select sailings that feature fun for everyone.
