Turf safety Kerb ® SC T&O specialty herbicide is recommended for use on the following warm-season, nonresidential turfgrass species: • Bermudagrass • Centipedegrass • St. Augustinegrass • Zoysiagrass Landscape and nursery recommendations To control winter annual and perennial grasses and certain broadleaf weeds, apply Kerb ® SC T&O specialty herbicide in the fall to established trees, woody ornamentals, nursery stock of ornamentals and Christmas trees. It is not recommended for seedling trees or shrubs younger than one year old. It may be directly or topically applied to woody ornamentals, nursery stock or Christmas trees.
How to apply Kerb ® SC T&O specialty herbicide can be applied as a broadcast spray for Poa annua control at the following rates: • Preemergence or early postemergence (Use the higher rate when longer preemergence residual control is desired.) — 1.25 to 2.5 pints per acre • Postemergence (early tillering to heading) — 2 to 2.5 pints per acre • Postemergence (seed forming stages) — 2.5 to 3.5 pints per acre • Wait 90 days after application before overseeding with susceptible cool-season turfgrasses. • For removal of perennial ryegrass, apply at a rate of 1.25 to 2.5 pints of product per broadcast acre. • In nursery and landscape applications, Kerb SC T&O should be applied in fall before leaf drop and soil freeze at a labeled rate of 2.5 to 5 pints per acre, depending on target weed (see label). Remember that Kerb SC T&O acts through root absorption. If no rainfall occurs within a day after application, use a light overhead irrigation to move the chemical into the weed root zone.
