Datagraphic invests in green energy DOCUMENT AUTOMATION solutions company, Datagraphic, has invested a six-figure sum in installing 557 solar panels at its UK production and technology centre, in Rugby, Warwickshire. They will power sustainable customer mail and employee communications with green energy. The investment forms part of Datagraphic’s science-based low carbon strategy. The organisation uses the greenhouse gas protocol to measure its scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions, and aims to be net zero with scope 2 emissions by 2035. The solar array will help with this plan. Datagraphic has a range of other environmental initiatives and is always looking for more sustainable ways to do business. Peter Wells, head of sustainability and commercial manager at Datagraphic, said: “Installing the solar panels is a huge step towards achieving our low carbon strategy. The panels can generate 226,000kWh a year of green energy. We had a test phase in April and have gone completely live now [May 2022]. Already we’ve had days running the centre entirely on green electricity generated by sunlight. We’re hoping to see many more in the months ahead as we move into British summertime.” For further information, visit Datagraphic’s website here: http://ow.ly/Fwbz30slW3p. 60% of UK workers want more flexibility with working hours A REPORT by payroll services and human resource software and solutions company, ADP, highlights that six in ten UK workers wish they had more flexibility regarding as and when they work. The figures increased in Greater London, to two-thirds of workers (67%). The report also shows that 51% of men and 45% of women admit their work is suffering due to their poor mental health. Pay remains a priority for most workers, but nearly half (45%) confirmed they’d accept a pay cut if it meant improving their work-life balance. Again, the number increased in Greater London, to 64%. Additionally, 40% (57% in Greater London) stated they’d be willing to take a pay cut if they had more control over the location they could work from (e.g., remotely or in a hybrid arrangement).
