Mark Vincent Silverio Mark was admitted to the bar in 1972 and sworn in by the son of General George S. Patton, General George Patton IV. Mark from graduated Georgetown Law School (J.D., 1972) and was a Member, Editorial Board, Law Review, 1971-1972. George left Holland & Knight to form the Tallahassee firm of Young, van Assenderp, Varnadoe & Benton concentrating his practice on land use, growth management, environmental permitting, real property and administrative law. He opened the firm’s Naples office in 1976 to represent Westinghouse Communities as they undertook the development of Pelican Bay. Over the years, George shepherded approximately 25 projects through the Development of Regional Impact process and wrote and lectured extensively on growth management, comprehensive planning, land use and environmental issues.
