INVOLVEMENT IN CHARITABLE WORK AND SUSTAINABILITY ARE TWO KEY ELEMENTS OF WHAT MAKES CEF STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD… Creating opportunities

F rom corporate charity partnerships through to employee led activities, CEF are passionate about giving something back. Over the last five years the company has donated over £6.2m to charities close to its heart. Sustainability is also high on the agenda, and the company strives to go above and beyond to create opportunities and improve lives – for its colleagues, its customers and its communities. Charity Macmillan Cancer Support has been CEF’s chosen charity partner since 2017. In 2020, it committed to partner with them for the next five years with an ambitious aim of raising £1m in that time. Company wide activities include Big Breakfast events,

Christmas Jumper Days and the annual MacMillan Challenge. Employees are also encouraged to organise their own activities and fundraising events including everything from raffles and auctions to local football and darts tournaments. CEF are proud of its partnership with the EIC to deliver support to businesses, customers and their families who serve and have served within the electrical and energy sectors. Donations of domestic appliances to help the EIC support people who need then urgently due to re- housing or financial difficulty is something CEF are highly committed to. Through the Janet Nash Charitable Settlement, CEF has provided over £2.2m of support for individuals who need medical care for often life threatening

conditions over the last five years, as well as supporting various charitable institutions. Sustainability CEF has achieved Planet Mark Business Certification, which recognises its commitment to measuring and reducing carbon emissions, energy and water consumption, travel and waste by a minimum of 5% year on year. In addition, CEF is the only electrical distributor to have an in-house recycling facility. Waste Experts offers customers unique industry leading and traceable solutions for total waste management. Looking to the future, CEF plan to leave the world in a better place by integrating sustainability into everything it does.
