T his year marks Ansell Lightings 30th year in business and its new Coastal product as part of the Aztec floodlighting range is sure to cause a big surge to the market. Marine and coastal areas present a huge number of challenges when it comes to lighting, and not every lighting solution can withstand the severe weather conditions and saltwater that these environments present. Water ingress arising from waves and storms and humidity can cause corrosion, rusting and premature failure. Which is why Ansell Lighting expanded its popular Aztec
floodlighting range to include a marine- grade coastal product. Aztec Coastal has been designed to ensure resistance from corrosion, rust and colour fade from salty air, water and harsh weather conditions and is recommended for applications situated on or within 50 miles of the coast. With saltwater causing metal corrosion to occur about five times faster than freshwater, and the humidity created by saltwater causing metals to rust up to ten times faster, Ansell need to put the product through its paces to ensure ultimate durability.
