The estimated amount of additional scope is R8 759 932,72 excluding VAT for Minerat Construction and Civils (MCC), R8 290 926,77 excluding VAT for PZL Projects cc, and R8 279 143,15 excluding VAT for Sya- Mzamo Business Enterprise.
Construction of 500 40m² units at Dassenhoek Block A and C Rural Housing Project (Ward 14)
The original contract authority was R12 493 899,00 excluding V.A.T. for Minerat Construction and Civils (MCC), R13 086 672,50 excluding VAT for PZL Projects cc, and R13 101 566,50 excluding VAT for Sya-Mzamo Business Enterprise.

Notice is hereby given, in terms of Regulation 34(1)(a) together with 34(3)(b) and Regulation 35 of the Municipal Asset Transfer Regulations, of the Municipal Finance Management Act, published under GN R 878 in Government Gazette 31346 of 22 August 2008, of the Public Participation process for the properties tabulated above. The Notice, is further published in accordance with the provisions of Section 21 of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, act no 32 0f 2000. The proposal and intention of the Ethekwini Metropolitan Municipality is to alienate by way of long term development lease the above mentioned property. All relevant documents, plans including the information statement in terms of Regulation 34 (3) (b) of the Municipal Asset Transfer Regulations will be available for viewing at 19th Floor, Embassy Building, 199 Anton Lembede Street, Durban and are available on municipality’s website http://www.durban.gov.za/Resource_Centre/ public_notices/Pages/Public-Notices-2022.aspx The Municipality invites the local community to submit comments on the proposed alienation by lease of the aforesaid properties, in writing with the City Manager, EThekwini Municipality by not later than twenty-one (21) days from the date of this publication.
