Director dialogue
FACTS & FIGURES As the home of the fabled Robin Hood, Nottingham is a good place to talk about
What has AMBA accreditation and membership of the AMBA network meant for your school since your accreditation was first announced? “AMBA accreditation has provided some well-deserved recognition for our MBA team, faculty, students, alumni and partners – not only of the quality of our MBA programmes, but also the hard work that goes into delivering such excellent outcomes for all our stakeholders. The pride and sense of achievement in receiving such a prestigious accreditation has been palpable in the school and among our alumni. “It has also increased awareness of our MBA outside the school and opened up conversations with various stakeholders about working together in the future. This helps us expand our national and global reach and enhance the learning experience for our students and the engagement of our alumni.” How would you describe your business school’s unique selling point (USP) to other AMBA network members? “Our USP is captured in our mission: ‘To deliver education and research that combines academic excellence with positive impact on people, business and society.’ “NBS has been a pioneer and innovator in experiential learning and personalisation. We have intensified experiential learning in deep and meaningful ways to ensure students can be agents of change. Using sector-leading learning analytics, we have also delivered a personalised student experience to secure high-level engagement and high-quality graduates. In addition, a commitment to – and investment in – ethics, responsibility and sustainability is integral to our research and education. This is reflected in our status as a principles for responsible management education (PRME) champion since 2018.”
