Grab any box from your home and start filling it with your old valuables. Place the heaviest items on the bottom and wrap everything carefully. We accept boxes of up to 30kg. Please, no jiffy bags as they do not protect your items in transit.
Attach the 2 types of labels from your selling pack to the box: 1. Parcelforce Freepost label. 2. Sender details label so we know it’s from you. Every box you send is automatically insured up to £300. Drop your box off at your local Post Office, or choose to have it collected by calling or emailing us. Either way, it’s free. We’ll let you know as soon as your box arrives. After a careful appraisal by our experts, you’ll receive one fair and straightforward offer for the whole lot. Accept the offer, and we’ll send your money the same-day via bank transfer, or in a few days with a posted cheque. Not satisfied with the offer or changed your mind? Jewellery Stones missing, a broken chain, a Victorian brooch, an odd earring or a tangled pile of necklaces. Jewellery boxes and drawers are crammed with pre-loved items.
What to look for:
• Gold, silver or plated jewellery. • Charm bracelets, lockets, cameos, pins & brooches. • Dress rings with semi-precious or eclectic stones. • Art Deco & Art Nouveau style. • Chanel, Dior, Gucci, and other designer names. Old Currency Just because it’s out of circulation doesn’t mean it’s worthless. All old currencies have value to us. Early 20th century British coins and notes, gold coins from around the world. Even that old holiday money that’s been sitting in your drawer.
What to look for:
• Pre-1920 & pre-1947 British coins have a high % of silver content. • Gold coins in any denomination or condition. • Pre-decimal, copper or nickel coins in bulk. Our expert’s top tip: “Coins are best sent along with other items. Please only send base metal coins alone if you have more than 5kg worth.”

Gold 9ct, 14ct, 18ct or 22ct. Chinese, Indian or British. With or without a hallmark. Any condition, any age. Precious metals seriously increase your box value. And, when selling, we’re more discrete and convenient than a high street jeweller or gold shop.
What to look for: • Rings, chains, pendants, charm bracelets, brooches & earrings. • C ufflinks, tie pins, lighters & cigarette cases. • Pocket watches & wristwatches. • Coins and ingots. • Sovereigns & Krugerrands. Our expert’s top tip: “Gold isn’t just limited to jewellery, it could be anything from vestas to sovereign cases and even teeth!”

Watches & Pocket Watches
What to look for:
• WW2, military & pilot watches. • Pocket watches - top wound or key wound. • Ladies cocktail watches & men’s dress watches. • Gold, silver or plated cases & straps. Our expert’s top tip: “Even if it’s missing hands, has no strap, or the glass is smashed, still pop it in your box!”
Before the 20th century, only women wore wristwatches. Men had pocket watches. Today, as fashions change, so do our timepieces. From an old Timex to a Rolex - we’re happy to appraise them for you.

Medals & Militaria
What to look for:
• Single medals or groups, with or without ribbons. • British, Commonwealth & international medals. • German war medals & memorabilia. • Military badges & regimental attire. • Armed forces uniforms & hats. Our expert’s top tip: “Look out for any name engravings around the edge of your medals.”
Medals have been awarded since the Roman Empire. 15.1 million service medals were issued in WWI alone. But many of these medals have been sat untouched in family homes ever since. Send yours in, and see what they’re worth.

Old Toys Today, children are always playing on computer games or phones. But in the past they played with real toys. Toys with sharp edges, lead paint and weapons that fired. They might not pass today’s health and safety, but in any condition they might help improve your bank balance.
What to look for:
• Wind-up & mechanical pre-war toys, working or not. • Dolls, (especially with hinged joints) & puppets. • Old teddy bears. • Toy cars, planes & sets, Dinky & Corgi. • Old train sets in any condition. Our expert’s top tip: “Sending your old toys in their original box, can add substantial value to your offer.”

From the first recorded pens in the 17th Century, to biros that enabled WW2 pilots to write at high altitude. Pens and writing instruments are part of everyone’s life. Even the most common ones have value.
Our expert’s top tip: “Look out for pens in their original box or with their original chalk mark.”

Smoking
Cigarette cases, cigar cutters and vintage lighters, (especially gold, silver or plated) are always desirable. As are rarer carved pipes, WW1 trench lighters and anything from Dunhill or DuPont.

Sunglasses Sunglasses personified the look of Hollywood stars and icons. Older styles, especially designer brands, are all in-vogue. As are pilot’s sunglasses, Ray-Bans and Persols. So pop them in your box, and get an offer that’s nothing to squint at.

We love your questions...
What if I can’t get my box to the Post Office? Not an issue. Simply call our friendly customer service team for free on 0800 246 1111 and they can arrange a Parcelforce collection, direct from your door or an alternate address - whichever is best for you. I just have a few old coins, would you be interested? Most coins and notes do not hold a great value. Whilst we do buy old coins and currency, it is something we ask people to add to their box to increase the offer we can make.
What is the minimum number of items I can send? In essence, we are a bulk buying service. Great for decluttering, with the bonus of a bit of extra cash. If you only have a few items to send, best give us a call. We can tell you if it’s worth sending. I have more than I can fit in two boxes, what should I do? That’s great news. Give us a call and we’ll send you more free postage labels! What happens if I am not happy with the offer? No worries. We post all your items back for free! Easy as that. I’m not sure if I have something of interest. Can I send you a picture before posting it? Of course, send photos to hello@vintagecashcow.co.uk However, it’s best to check through this guide or our website for something similar. Also, feel free to call us.

Should I clean my items before sending?
We ask customers not to clean their items before sending them to us. What if my items are damaged? This is part and parcel of the vintage trade - the items that we do accept we will buy in virtually any condition.
Is there any negotiation on the price?
Do you pay scrap prices? We are very big on up-cycling and recycling items so, where possible, we do our best to avoid offering the scrap value of items unless this represents more value for the customer.
We like to do what is best for our customers so we always make our best offer from the get-go. However, we can sometimes look to return part of the parcel and adjust the price accordingly.
What happens to the items after they are bought? We have a big network of
What if I don’t want to communicate via the telephone? We’ve got you covered. You can:
collectors, theatre companies, hobbyists, renovators, and up- cyclers who lovingly buy, reuse and repurpose all of our products.
