WALL MOUNT VANITIES INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Because of the design characteristics of the Wall Mount Vanity, Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. recommends our Wall Mount Vanities be installed strictly in accordance with the following instructions. Failure to follow this Installation Instruction may result in an unintended separation of the vanity from the wall and could potentially cause injury or damage to property. Any damage to the vanity resulting from failure to follow these instructions is not covered by our warranty. When properly installed, Wall Mount Vanities will support up to a maximum of 300 lbs.

Wall Studs

2 x 6 Cut to length of the wall cutout

1. Draw a horizontal line at the desired mounting height. Draw a second line parallel to and 6” below the first. The line length and subsequent cutout in Step 2 should be the width of the cabinet(s) being installed plus the distance to the next wall stud on each side.

2. Using the lines from Step 1 as a guide, cutout and remove the wall covering to expose the wall studs.

3. Cut a 2 x 6 the length of the cutout. Place it in the cutout against the wall studs and mark the top and bottom on each stud. Using a circular saw with the blade depth set at 1 1/2” + the wall covering thickness, make cuts at the top and bottom marks and additional cuts as required to remove the material inside the notch. Clean out any excess material with a wood chisel.

Optional Ledger Strip

4. Place the 2 x 6 in the notched area of the wall studs and secure with construction adhesive and a minimum of two 3” screws (not included) to each stud. Once secured, the 2 x 6 must be flush with the face of the studs.

5. Replace and secure the section of wall covering removed in Step 2.

6. For additional support and to aid in installation an option Ledger Strip can be installed at the bottom cabinet height. The Ledger Strip should be cut to a length such that it is not visible when the cabinet(s) is installed. Secure to all available wall studs using 2 1/2” screws (not provided).

Install 3" Washer Head Screws in all available mounting bracket holes.

7. Place the cabinet on top of the Ledger Strip in the desired location with the back against the wall. Check that the cabinet is level and plum and secure to the wall by installing 3” washer head screws (not provided) in all available holes in the mounting brackets.
