arose happy in their new found joy. Before leaving, we gave them some instructions and a Testament and a Spanish “Way to God.” Before closing this article, we want to acknowledge an answer to prayer, We had asked the Lord, if He wanted us to have an auto for the work that He would give a token by sending in some money. A friend has sent in a check for twenty dollars for this pur pose! May we not enlist the prayers of friends that the rest of the amount may be forthcoming? The camps vis ited are so widely scattered, that much valuable time is wasted in reaching them and waiting for cars.—R. H. Ben der, Supt. m New Response Among Jews A glance over the records of the past year shows that our work among the “lost sheep of the house of Israel” has progressed along two distinct lines,— one, that of promoting WORK Christianity among the Jews, JEWISH and the other, that of bring ing the work of the Jewish D e p a r t m e n t before the Christian churches of Los Angeles and the nearby cities, seeking to encourage a wider recognition of the Christian’s obligation to the Jews, and to secure friends and funds for our work. At no time since the beginning of our Jewish work has it been so easy to deal personally with Jews as at the present time. Things of great moment to the nation of Israel are taking place, and a peculiar air of expectancy is manifest throughout all Israel. Many are saying “Ee muz Zine Moshiach zite,” i. e., “It must be Messiah’s time.”

New Doors of Service Opening In a former article concerning our Mexican work mention was made of the fact that the new converts were not backward in confessing their Saviour to their friends and neigh- SPANISH bors, and this continues to WORK be true. Cottage meetings held in the home of one of the converts resulted in the conversion of two men, and not only that, the attendance has increased to such an extent that the Mexican pastor has opened his church and invited us to have our Bible class there, and last week we had a Bible class of twenty young men. The same week in which the two men were converted, a man and his wife accepted Christ as their Saviour. The son of this couple had been suffering with rheumatism, so much so that he could scarcely walk. We prayed for him and at our next visit found him well and working. This answer to prayer was the means of help ing the parents to accept Christ. On another visit, we found the mother sick. We prayed, also, for her, and she later testified to the marvellous work of God in healing. To God be all the glory. The same week, we were in another railroad camp talking to a group of men, when another man came over and asked us to come to his room as there was a group of men there waiting to hear the message. As we delayed a bit,, he came again and said “There are two young men who want to accept Christ.” We then went with him, and gave a message to two young men who said they were ready to receive Jesus Christ as their Saviour. Going to their room, we all knelt and prayed, and both
