The Absolute. God, infinite and eternal energy—not a person. God—the first cause. God has no existence apart from the universe and never had. The latter is eternal. There never has been a creation. It is only as we read God in the uni- . verse that we can.know anything about him. The whole cosmic process is one uprising of the being of God, from itself With what God have we to do except the God who is eternally man? Essentially God is man—the fount of humanity. From matter and force come intelli gence, and from these come morality and religion.
