close to the grave they saw the big stone rolled away, and there was some one sitting on the stone, whose face was very bright and dazzling, and his clothes were as white as snow. These two ( women were very much frightened and did not know what to do, and then the bright shining one who sat upon the stone, spoke to them, for he was the angel who had come down from heaven and rolled the stone away from the tomb or grave. The angel told the women not to be afraid, and he also told them he knew they had come to look for Jesus, who had been crucified. After the angel spoke to the women they came up closer to the empty tomb as they wanted to know where, Jesus was, and the angel said something that made their sad faces brighten up and their heavy hearts filled with great joy, and the angel’s message has made many thousands of people since that day very happy too. Be very quiet now and lis ten and I will tell you the very words the angel said to the poor, sad and frightened women. “He is not here: for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.” Wasn’t that a wonderful message? I think the women were so surprised and happy for a few moments, they must have just

Lesson Story: In our picture we see the stone that closed the tomb is rolled away and the tomb is empty. We are to hear about two women who loved Jesus, but they had forgotten how Jesus had told them He was going to die, but that He was going to rise from the dead, and these 'two women have prepared some very sweet perfumes and have started from their homes very early in the morning while it was yet dark, to go to the tomb where Jesus was buried, for they wanted to put the sweet per fume on his body. These women looked very sad for they had seen Jesus die on the cross, and as they walked along they were thinking how much they would miss Jesus, for He went about among the people and helped them whenever He found them in need, and always spoke so kind and lovingly to all, and now He was dead.
