Obtaining these documents is difficult once you’ve left a remote location and could significantly delay any claim pro- cessing. Equally important is having any receipts or other in- formation like delayed flight schedules to support any claim. Dive retailers are in a unique position to open up the underwater world to so many people and to take them to some incredible diving destinations. These trips are an invest- ment and should be protected because things do go wrong. It is important for dive shop owners as well as trip leaders to know if their customers have travel insurance. One
