HISTORY SolBridge International School of Business was established in 2008 and became the youngest institution to earn AACSB accreditation just six years later, in 2014. It is one of eight academic colleges and schools that form part of Woosong University. Tracing its history back to the establishment of the Woosong Educational Foundation in 1954, Woosong University opened in 1998 under a banner of global competitiveness. Since its inception, SolBridge has emphasised its global outlook and multicultural approach. COURSES SolBridge offers a four-year undergraduate bachelor’s in business administration (BBA) and a one-year MBA, both delivered in English. BBA students take one of five career tracks after their first year, among which are job placements or an entrepreneurship focus. The MBA is organised around six core courses, a student’s choice of five electives and a capstone project. Also available is a two-year MSc and a PhD in global management, as well as short-term and open courses through executive education arm, SolBridge Academy.
LOCATION SolBridge is situated in Daejeon, South Korea’s fifth- largest city and one of six to hold metropolitan city status ( gwangyeoksi ). A science and technology hub in central South Korea, the city is home to the prestigious research and development district, Daedeok Innopolis and has been referred to as a Korean Silicon Valley. The school encourages all its undergraduate students to spend their first term living on campus in its international residence, Sol-Geo, where they are matched up with a roommate from a different country.
