PRINCIPAL ’ S MESSAGE
Welcome to our award-winning students, their families, teachers, school councillors, distinguished guests, and our wonderful community partners to our third Award Night.
This year marks the second year of our academic awards, which are aligned with the Department of Education ’ s new Teaching & Learning Model. From Prep to Year 10, the College will present eight academic excellence awards across the curriculum, with VCE awards continuing to remain subject-based. One of our College ’ s greatest strengths is our ability to integrate, challenge, and deliver contemporary programs across both the Primary and Secondary Campuses. These efforts help us maintain a culture of high expectations and excellence in learning. All our award recipients embody these values—they are role models who reflect their own hard work and the consistent support, encouragement, and guidance provided by their families. The Lakes South Morang College ’ s position as a high-performing school is sustained through the strong and positive partnerships we build among students, staff, families, and the wider community. To honour the significance of these connections, the College has collaborated with our respected learning partners and providers to present awards across their specialist areas. The expertise and insight they bring to our programs are invaluable and central to our continued success. Finally, I extend my sincere thanks to our committed teachers, support staff, and School Council members for believing in our young people and guiding their learning journey. The stability that we have builds strength through experience, builds the belief attached to our moral purpose and drives our narrative to excel as the college of choice in our community. I hope you enjoy a memorable evening in a venue befitting this special occasion, and that you share in the pride I feel for the outstanding achievements of our students.
