What has AMBA accreditation and membership of the AMBA network meant for your school since your accreditation was first announced? “Yonsei School of Business (YSB) has attained the prestigious triple crown of accreditation in international business education through its recent AMBA certification, further validating the quality of its programmes. This achievement positions YSB as the 130th institution globally and the first in South Korea to earn this distinction. Our success reflects the collective efforts of the YSB community, bolstered by the steadfast support of the university’s leadership. AMBA accreditation further enhances YSB’s global reputation, instilling pride in its students, faculty, staff and alumni.” How would you describe your business school’s unique selling point (USP) to other members of the AMBA network? “Located in the heart of Seoul, YSB offers exceptional accessibility and state-of-the-art educational infrastructure. The school boasts a distinguished faculty with teaching and practical experience from leading global universities, providing world-class business education. Additionally, the school recently secured the top spot in South Korea for business education, according to the latest world university rankings compiled by subject from Times Higher Education and QS.”

In addition, the cohort boasts an impressive gender balance – female students made up 61 per cent of the class of 2023 and have represented at least 50 per cent of the cohort in each of the previous five years, according to the school’s latest global MBA brochure. Yonsei University is one of the three so-called ‘SKY’ universities heralded as South Korea’s most prestigious. As of April 2024, Yonsei had roughly 40,000 students across all levels of education, of which around 8,000 are defined as international.
