region continues to grow, with Daz working closely with industry partners, including Visit Northern Tasmania and East Coast Tourism, to support aligned objectives and initiatives that benefit the wider hospitality community. Hospitality Tasmania also hosted ‘A Night at The Range’, which proved to be a standout industry event, bringing together Hospitality Tasmania members from across the North West and Northern regions at the Launceston Country Club. Held at Country Club Tasmania’s all-new driving range, ‘The Range’ and social playground where golf, tech, and good times come together. The event showcased state-of-the-art ball tracking, sleek design, and a vibrant atmosphere perfect for golf lovers, newbies, and fun-seekers alike. Members swung big, sipped something delicious, and enjoyed great food while sharing insights and ideas. It was a relaxed, energising celebration of connection and the continued strength of Tasmania’s hospitality community.

The hospitality industry across Tasmania’s North, North East, and East Coast continues to thrive, thanks to strong engagement and collaboration that drives innovation and growth. Darren (Daz) has been actively connecting with venues across the region, ensuring both metropolitan and regional operators are supported, recognised, and equipped to deliver outstanding customer experiences. A standout highlight has been the launch of Licensees of Launceston, a new initiative bringing together local publicans to collaborate, share insights, and address the unique challenges facing the local hospitality sector. The group has been very well received, with momentum building through strong attendance and active participation. By fostering open dialogue and collective problem- solving, this initiative demonstrates the power of collaboration in strengthening leadership and advancing regional hospitality excellence.

Looking ahead, Darren will continue to engage directly with venues across the North, North East, and East Coast over the coming months. These visits provide an opportunity to offer tailored support, share resources, and address the practical challenges operators face in running successful hospitality businesses. Whether it’s guidance on improving customer experiences, assisting with workforce development, or supporting new initiatives, Darren’s on-the-ground engagement ensures that venues feel connected, informed, and supported. These interactions not only strengthen individual businesses but also reinforce the broader regional hospitality network, helping the industry remain resilient and forward-focused.
