LEADERSHIP IN ACTION
“What we’re seeing already is incredible commitment from leaders,” said Sherri Ring, HOSPO Health’s Chief Happiness Officer. “They’re joining the team, having honest conversations and working together to create workplaces that genuinely support their people.” The strong engagement comes off the back of an impressive number of applications, making the shortlisting to just ten properties a challenging task for our panel.
The statewide rollout of the HOSPO Health Leaders Program hit the ground running in October, beginning with an introductory roadmap session before moving into our Riders and Elephants Emotional Culture Deck Workshops. These sessions bring leadership teams together to unpack the values and behaviours that matter most to their venue, and to map out practical actions that support a healthier, more connected workplace culture. From there, properties moved into the Wellbeing Framework workshops, now in full swing across the state. These hands-on sessions prompt powerful conversations and help teams identify opportunities to embed wellbeing into day-to-day business practices.

As the program heads into 2026, properties will start with Mindfulness for Leaders, continuing on the comprehensive journey that empowers each venue to co-design an approach tailored to their people and their business. “Every venue is different, and that’s the strength of this program,” Sherri added. “It’s about finding what works for each team, and building something that benefits employees, managers and the overall culture.”
