Clubs Tasmania
Season Greetings from Clubs Tasmania
This year, we ran around 76 workshops aimed at educating and supporting community clubs, alongside several statewide Clubs Tasmania industry events to strengthen networking and connections across the sector. Beyond these initiatives, we continued to advocate on multiple fronts to better support clubs and their vital role in the community.
As we all prepare for the festive season ahead, Clubs Tasmania would like to take a moment to wish everyone a wonderful Christmas and New Year, spent with family and friends. We want to extend a special thank you to all our incredible volunteers. Your dedication and hard work make our clubs thrive, and you truly deserve a well-earned break over the holidays. Looking ahead to 2026, we are excited to bring you a series of engaging workshops and presentations designed to strengthen and educate our community club sector. We can’t wait to continue working with you to make our clubs even stronger and more connected in the year to come.
Looking back on 2025 - a year of achievemets
Reflecting on 2025, Clubs Tasmania is proud of what we have achieved alongside our community clubs. In collaboration with the Council on the Aging (COTA), we successfully advocated for the Ticket to Wellbeing, giving people over the age of 65 $100 to put towards their club membership. This initiative helps ensure everyone can stay active, connected, and engaged in their community clubs.
Clubs Tasmania Christmas Party 2025
In December, Clubs Tasmania hosted its ever- popular Christmas Party at the Hobart Hockey Centre, welcoming around 100 attendees from a wide variety of community clubs. This festive event has become a highlight on many clubs’ calendars, offering a fantastic opportunity to connect, network, and celebrate the achievements of each calendar year.
Clubs Tasmania also worked closely with Volunteering Tasmania to remove the cost of the Working with Vulnerable People card, making it easier for volunteers to contribute their time and skills to local clubs, this initiative will take effect from January 1, 2026.
Thank you to everyone who attended, it is always great to catch up before head into the summer season.
