chapter 42, the Lord’s wrath is not kindled against Elihu as it is against the “three friends,” neither is he commanded to bring an of fering: (5) in 42:3, Job identifies himself as the one who had uttered words without knowledge; (6) in 35:16, Job is described as the one who “multiplieth words without knowledge” ; and (7) a comparison of this passage with 40:4, 5 shows that Job realized that he had spoken words without wisdom. From this it may be concluded that even the godliest of men are prone to speak unwisely and need to place a guard upon their lips. “Hast thou considered my servant Job t " (1:8). What follows in this verse is God’s testimony concerning one of his children. Is it not a won derful thing that through His grace God is able to speak of any frail human being in language like this? Yet it is true that in a very real sense He is able to refer to every Christian like this because each be liever, as far as his standing is con cerned, is perfect “in Christ Jesus” (Col. 1:28 and Eph. 1:4). But, on the other hand, God makes a distinction between His followers, as in the case of Job, for “there is none like him in the earth.” Man has a perfect standing with God by reason of his faith in Christ Jesus, but his actual state depends upon the faithfulness to God which he manifests in his daily living. We are not all equal in this respect. M emory V erse : "The earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein” (Psa. 24:1). Who owns the world? Perhaps your parents own your home; a company may own the block next to you; countries are owned by those who live in them. But who owns the world? God, the Creator of the World, is also the Owner of our wonderful world. In the very beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. Sin marred the first creation (Gen. 1:2), but God re-created the earth in six days or in six periods of time. After God had caused the light to appear, He separated the waters and made the dry land appear. Plant life, the sun, moon, stars, birds and fish were then brought forth. The sixth day of re-creation God created animals and ended His great work by creating man. As God looked at His world, He saw that it was very good. God is still at work in His world. other. He keeps them from varying from their courses for a second dur ing thousands of years. His power causes vegetable and animal life to come into being and to grow. His love is calling to men and women and boys and girls to receive His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, as their Saviour from sin. Does it not thrill your heart when you remember that the God who created all the universe is not too busy to care for you if you are His child through faith in His Son? You may pray about your schoolwork, about your social times, about losing a nickel, about the smallest things in your life, and know that your God hears your prayer and wants to help you. Only a truly great God could, or would, care for each of His children. If your faith is small, think of the wonderful world that God’s power has created; think of the per fect plan of salvation that He has provided for you, and you will know that “with God all things are pos sible.” UNION LESSON HELPS on the International Uniform Lotions ' safe ' s , or« based TIME- > squarely on the Bible .TRIED.
