Lesson: How many of you like to open a letter? I see that nearly all do. The letter we are to open today is one of the strangest you have ever seen. Here it is, the letter “W.” It has an important message inside. In think ing of this letter, I want you to re member Solomon, the son of David, who had to rule the nation when David died. He had lookfed forward to the time, and realized that in him self he was not able to do so. However, the time comes when he must NOW take over the duties of king. (Open the first strip on the left.) As we open this letter, we see the word, “NOW.” Opening it further, we see Solomon's next problem, “HOW?” It is beyond him, to know how to rule his people. There was only one thing for him to do, and that was to ask God. We now see the word, “BOW.” It is good in a time of need to BOW before God. We will open the right side of the letter. We find the word, “WISDOM,” for which Solomon asked, and which God gave. As we further open the letter we find the word, “WORK.” It was soon after’ Solomon received God’s wisdom that he began the WORK of building the temple. After the temple was completed, we read of Solomon wor shiping. “And he stood before the altar of the Lord in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands” (2 Chron. 6:12). Opening the last part of the letter we see the word, “WORSHIP.”
