every day for three years, was enough to ensnare me so that it was impossible to get free from it, except for divine interposition. Soon after my sister-in-law’s visit, I re ceived a letter from my brother, asking me to come to his home and go through a class in Christian Science, which was then form ing. The letter was followed by a telegram asking me to come at once, and saying that all expense would be met by him. I went, and when I arrived, discovered that the class was full, being limited to thirty. But my brother was so anxious for me to have the instruction, that he had me come s6 that if, at the last moment, some one should drop out,-1 would be ready to take the vacant place. Such loyalty is worthy of a better cause. My brother was honest and really thought he had found the truth at last, as he expressed it. And I honestly believe they all really, think they have found the way of life. I was in poor health, and to regain that
HAVE been asked to write my experience in this mis leading, cult, and I do so with the thought of helping those who are being tempted
to go into it, and for the benefit of the relatives and friends of those who have been misled by it. A cry has gone out into the night, and some are waking up to the awful danger which thus masquerades as an angel of light. I was led into Christian Science by the efforts of my brother and his wife. They were anxious for me to know “the truth,” and gave me “Science and Health,” and my sister-in-law made a trip from her home to mine (across a State) just to get me estab lished in it, and to see that I was making progress. I remember watching her erase the word “lie” that I had repeatedly writ ten on the margin. But let me say that in spite of the fact that I did not, believe all its pernicious "teachings, the studying of it
