“A little buttery and therein A little bin Which keeps my little loaf of bread Unchipt, unfled; Some'brittle sticks of thorn and brier Make ,me a fire, Close by whose living coal I sit, And glow like' it. Lord, I confess, too, when I dine, The pulse is Thine, And all those other bits that be There placed by Thee. “All this and better ThouMost send Me to this end,— That I should render, for my part, A thankful heart.” £

A ‘‘smart” fellow mockingly said to a poor old .man, but. a wise old Christian, “Say, old man, can you tell me the way to heaven ?” “Yes, indeed; turn to the right and keep straight ahead.” The sense of security depends on keeping within the zone. “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Tiiee,”—Isa. 26:3. “Keep yourselves in the love of God,”—: Jude 21; see Matt. 14:30, 31. “Jesus, lover of my soul, Let me to Thy bosom fly ; A GRACIOUS GUARANTEE “My God shall supply all your need ac cording to His riches in glory."— Phil. 4:19. While the tempest still is high; Hide me,: oh, my Saviour, hide— Till the Storm of life is past; Safe into the haven guide, Oh, receive my soul at last.”—5". ;
