Mungo & Maud was created at the home of Michael and Nicola Sacher whilst they were struggling to find products for their new English Setter ‘George’... nothing on the market seemed to fit with their aesthetic and lifestyle. This sparked the idea… they took a deep breath, left their existing careers and began a lengthy process of research and development.
Mungo & Maud opened its doors at 79 Elizabeth Street on 05.05.05 at 5pm.
The continued success of Mungo & Maud reflects the constant creative inventiveness and business initiative of its owners. Having grown up as part of a large family retail business, Michael Sacher joined forces with his wife and Creative Director, Nicola Sacher, whose extensive knowledge of and experience in design and advertising has informed the creative strategy for the brand. Michael acts as Chief Executive and Finance Director.
