My Books Summer is a series of high-interest Take- Home Packs for Grades PreK–12 that keep children reading when the school year ends. Our Take-Home Packs reflect the interest and reading levels of each student and equip them with engaging books along with activities to ensure that they stay on track for success. EACH TAKE-HOME BOOK PACK INCLUDES: • 5 or 10 engaging books featuring fiction, informational, and specialty themes such as STEM. • Think Sheets for every title to reinforce reading. Each includes: – Learning on My Own reading comprehension and writing activities – Family Time with reading tips and opportunities to make personal connections to daily life* • A Summer Reading Journal with writing prompts to encourage reflection and text citations • A Set of Colored Pencils to inspire creativity and imagination in the student journal • A Student Postcard with prompts for students to share their summer reading experiences • Online Program Guide that offers everything needed to implement a summer reading take-home program, including ideas for family engagement, informal assessment tools, and more!
