WELCOME TO THE GLASS CITY Toledo earned its title as the glass capital of the world in the late 19th century when it became a national hub for - yep, you guessed it, glass. Toledo manufactured and produced everything from windows and bottles to the world’s fi rst industrially produced glass sheets. This legacy of innovation and craftsmanship still shapes the city’s identity today. We’re so thrilled to be here to witness all Toledo has to share as we journey together into the New Frontier! Our meticulously curated conference program, developed through peer review and extensive thought and attention to detail, focuses on transformative areas in the planning profession. You’ll discover cutting-edge strategies, emerging trends, and best practices that will equip you with the knowledge and insights to stay ahead. Choose your path in the New Frontier: • Explore our 60-minute “bread and butter” Traditional Sessions . • Engage in one of our new Deep Dives . Still following the traditional 60-minute format, Deep Dives are designed to explore a single topic in greater detail. Expect richer insights, real-world examples, and practical strategies you can put to work immediately. • Roll up your sleeves at a Technical Workshop . Longer in format and highly interactive, Technical Workshops give you the tools, resources, and guided practice needed to master a speci fi c technique or process. • Hit the streets of Toledo by joining a Mobile Workshop and gain insights from local experts working to ensure Northwest Ohio is trending forward. Because we just couldn’t stop there, we’ve added other exciting new elements to this year’s conference: virtual reality experiences, a pop-up pocket park, private fi lm screening, fi reside chats, and the sure to be popular Tour of Ohio Ra ffl e at the Conference Luncheon. Don’t miss these and our traditional o ff erings to make the most of SPC25. #BecauseWePlan CITY th century when it factured and produced produced glass sheets. tit d W ’
