Nematodes Nematodes are a growing but often undetected pest problem in turfgrass throughout the United States, especially on low-mowed greens or other areas under stress. Nematodes often enhance root diseases confounding diagnosis and control. Nematode assays can help determine the type of nematode present and whether they are a concern. If current symptoms are validated with high nematode populations, curative applications of Indemnify should be made immediately. Consult your local area sales manager for specific timing and re-application interval. Re-applications will depend on the level of nematode populations/damage. For courses where nematodes are not a major concern but wanting to be proactive with nematode management, apply Resilia TM root health solution at 4 fl. oz. per 1,000 sq. ft. A total of four applications can be made per year. For courses with a documented history of nematode damage, consider the following:

Spring dead spot affects bermudagrass over the winter, so Mirage ® Stressgard ® , Castlon TM , and Resilia TM applied in fall can help limit damage. (ENVU)

Spring dead spot is more damaging in the northern areas of the transition zone where bermudagrass is dormant for months. (Envu)
