Pythium Root Rot Applications for summer-occurring Pythium root rot should be initiated in the spring when the average soil temperature at a 2” depth taken at 11 am is 60ºF for three consecutive days. Additionally, in the Pacific Northwest, the varying species of Pythium root rot can also affect slow growing turf during the late winter. Applications should be watered in with 0.125-0.25”. Signature TM XTRA can be tank-mixed with any or all of the applications below to enhance plant health and photosynthesis, improve control of Pythium root rot, and help manage resistance.
