ISCATAWAY, NJ — Rockefeller Group , a leading real estate developer, owner and opera- tor, announced it will develop a 241,200 s/f distribution cen- ter in Piscataway. The project, Normandy Logistics Center, is located at 10 Normandy Dr., a 36-acre brownfield site adja - cent to more than 2.1 million s/f of logistics space the com- pany developed in the town- ship between 2017 and 2019. “Our latest project repre- sents the final developable parcel next to the former Union Carbide site in Piscataway P
are able to redevelop a former brownfield site, providing a class A building on a site that sat fallow for more than 30 years.” Normandy Logistics Center will include 40’ clear heights, 162 car parking spaces, 60 trailer parking spaces and 41 single load loading docks. The team of Michael Mar- key and Jonathan Tesser of Colliers brokered the land sale and Markey and Tesser will handle marketing and leasing of the project. “Land sites that can accom- modate buildings of this size
are getting harder to find within this market and Nor- mandy Logistics Center is the right size for the market and will be a great addition to the area amid strong demand,” said Markey. “Piscataway remains an ideal location for companies to distribute goods, with a strong labor pool pro- viding for a great employee base for users.” The project has access to Rte. 287 and subsequently the New Jersey Tpke. and Rte. 78, providing for strong North/ South distribution as well as East/West distribution. “A greener environment and a boost to economic develop- ment,” Piscataway Mayor Brian C. Wahler said. “That’s what the Rockefeller Group is bringing to Piscataway. What was once a petrochemical site with smokestacks will now be cleaned and home to a state- of-the-art logistics center that is bringing good paying jobs to hard-working residents.” Mancini Duffy is the ar- chitect, SESI Consulting Engineer is the civil engi- neer, and the general contrac- tor is Alston Construction .
