In addition, researchers have found some evidence that apple cider vinegar may reduce fasting plasma glucose and blood lipid levels, both early signs of cardiovascular disease, according to a summary of nine studies. THE DOWNSIDE Other claims about apple cider vinegar aren’t supported by research. For example, the idea that it can help ease the symptoms of eczema, a skin ailment, is not based on science. Also, apple cider vinegar may cause indigestion, and its acidic content can harm tooth enamel. However, Beckham recommends diluting and sipping it through a straw to protect your teeth. The bottom line? Consult a physician before embracing apple cider vinegar as a health supplement, and do your own research into popular ideas about its benefits before trying it. However, based on research so far, Posh Spice may be on to something!
