Larger, and several short catechisms follow. Luther’s, of course, is not found in this group. Any serious student of Christian doctrine could well own tliis volume for reference and study. It has an excellent introduction and index, cxxvi, 293 pages; cloth; Harper & Bros., New York; $6.00. The Years That1 Count By Rosalind Rinker “How important am I anyway?” It is with this question which every teenager asks himself at one time or another that Rosalind Rinker opens her book. To the teenager his prob lems are the most important problems and his person the most important per son. With this view in mind, the book attempts to guide the thinking of the young person. Decisions to be made in the period between high school and college are likely to be major decisions and should, especially for every Chris tian young person, be considered in the light of his beliefs. Resentment at being told what to do now that they are on the threshold of adulthood often leads even Chris tian young people to do the very thing they have been told not to do. Rather than set down definite “ do’s and don’t’s” and possibly destroy that which- she set out to accomplish, the author has asked the common ques tions and answered them out of her own experiences and out of extensive counselling. From the author’s vast experience with young people has come this book that can be used as a guide for all. 118 pages; cloth; Zon- dervan P u b l i s h i n g House, Grand Rapids; $2.00. — Reviewed by Bar bara Barth BOOK ENDS (A brief review of current publications) THE HOLY SPIRIT AND THE HOLY LIFE by Chester K.
