Soybean Side-Dress Trial This trial is designed to evaluate the response to late season addition of phosphorus to soybeans. When we set up this trial a lot of people thought that we were crazy when we talked about side- dressing soybeans. The thought came from a research article that describes the soybeans need for phosphorus during the reproductive stages. Because phosphorus and zinc are taken up together we also added zinc to the trial then added boost also to see if there was an advantage to that. The side- dress was added during the hilling operation in late R2 to early R3.
