Dear Guests and Potential Buyers, Welcome to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) Manufacturing, Agribusiness and Logistics Division’s 2025 Horse Sale. We are pleased to once again offer some of the agency’s finest bred horses. This year, we will proudly offer horses that have been utilized in our beef cattle and security operations from across the great state of Texas. The TDCJ takes great pride in its livestock program and is known for consistently producing some of the highest quality animals in the industry. This reputation is possible due to many years of commitment, dedication and hard work by countless TDCJ employees and inmates. These individuals have invested many hours into the care and development of the agency’s livestock. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all current and former employees and inmates for their hard work and dedication. We remain committed to producing quality horses and take great admiration in training each one of them. From the initial hours spent matching pedigrees for proper breeding, to the delicate care during foaling, TDCJ uses a hands-on approach from birth because we believe in the tradition that, “Quality time results in a quality product.” The TDCJ Agriculture Program proudly extends a Texas-sized thank you to our past, present and future guests and buyers. Lastly, the TDCJ Manufacturing, Agribusiness and Logistics Division would like to express its appreciation to the Texas A&M University veterinarians and their students, for their role in preparing for this sale and supporting the success of the TDCJ equine program.
