A Tribute to Motherhood
Faith, a Mother’s Bequest 2 T imothy 1 :5 T he life o f Timothy, Paul’s “dearly beloved son” in the gospel, was the outworking o f a faith imparted to him by the grace o f God, through the instrumen tality o f his devout mother and grand mother. This great bequest enriched all departments of his life. It affected: 1. His acceptance o f the gift o f God (2 Tim. 1 :6). 2. His equipment for everyday life (2 Tim. 1:7 ). 3. His choice o f hardness as a good soldier of Jesus Christ (2 Tim. 1:8). 4. His fidelity to the gospel which Paul preached (2 Tim. 1 :13). —M. C A Woman’s Ministry 1.
