outputs are designed to meet the in- dividuals’ specifc needs, no matter what their role is within the enter- prise. Standard reports are provided with the intention of establishing routines. If reports and data calls that users need are readily available, why not make it easier to compile? No more searching through several sources for needed information. These standard reports are preformatted, and some include embedded pivot tables, icons, and symbols to make the data even more meaningful. These include Work in Progress reports, Long Range Ac- quisition Estimates and Service Re- quirement Review Board as well as metrics reports for cycle times, vari- ances, performance, and characteris- tics, to name a few. Any feld in PMT can be extracted in a report. These data are real-time. If no standard report is available, users can easily create ad hoc reports to meet their needs just by selecting flters and the desired display felds for their Excel spreadsheet. New ca- pability enables users to schedule any report to run on a specifed frequency, enabling the user to automate report- ing or capture consistent metrics and see changes over time. PMT’s data visualization capabil- ity dramatically changes the time and efort required for review and status meetings (Figure 3). Users no longer need to spend hours preparing and reviewing slide show presentations for their next meeting. The visualiza- tions are designed to replace that. Just two computer clicks reveal the key information for status, discus- sion, and decision-making. Changes and updates to PID information in PMT can be made on the spot. The visualizations also are interactive, so users can drill down, change flters, and perform analysis in real time during the meeting. At present, 18 diferent visualizations are available. They range from contract workload management to risk assessments. An individual’s roles and responsibilities
