Energy Conversion Congress and Exposition The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers will hold its 17th Annual Energy Conversion Congress and Exposition (ECCE 2025), Oct. 19–23 , at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, Pa. ECCE 2025 is an international event on energy conversion that features both industry- driven and application-oriented technical sessions, as well as an energy exposition. The Congress and Expo will bring together practicing engineers, researchers, subject matter experts, and other associated professionals for interactive and multidisciplinary discussions on the latest advances in areas related to energy conversion. The 2025 National Defense Industrial Association/Aero- space Industries Association Fall Industrial Security and Counterintelligence Conference will convene Oct. 20–22 at The Westin in Washington, D.C. This biannual conference serves as a forum for executive-level security leadership and policymakers across the federal agencies and U.S. defense industry to address major government security topics. A series of moderated expert panels and key leadership speak- ers will provide insights from diverse perspectives, enabling participants to identify critical issues and needs to develop government- and industry-partnered creative solutions that could advance U.S. security and mission success. Registra- tion will soon be available at this website. Joint NDIA/AIA Fall Industrial Security Conference Peter B. Teets Award Dinner The Peter B. Teets Award Dinner will be held Oct. 22 at the Los Angeles Marriott Airport Hotel in Los Angeles, Calif. Teets (1942–2020) was the 13th Director of the National Reconnaissance Ofce and Under Secretary of the Air Force. He engineered the formation of a comprehensive national security space enterprise, laying the groundwork for the in- tegration of open and classifed space activities in support of national security objectives. The award is the NRO Space Division’s highest honor and recognizes public and private sector leadership or achievement that results in signifcant contributions to the development, introduction, operational contribution, or support of space systems. Each year, the division recognizes an individual from government and an individual from industry. Register here. North American Power Symposium The 57th North American Power Symposium (NAPS 2025), sponsored by the Institute for Electrical and Electronics En- gineers, will take place Oct. 26–28 at the Hartford Marriott Downtown in Hartford, Conn. The theme for the 2025 event will be “Grid Innovation for a Reliable and Resilient Energy Future.” NAPS 2025 will serve as a forum to present inno- vative research, build connections, and explore emerging trends in sustainable power systems, including renewable energy integration, power system reliability and resilience,

Next-Generation Microelectronics Manufacturing Summit

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and its Microsystems Technology Ofce, in partnership with the University of Texas at Austin and Texas Institute for Electronics, will host the Next-Generation Microelec- tronics Manufacturing (NGMM) Summit. The summit will convene Oct. 27–28 at the University of Texas at Austin’s AT&T Hotel and Conference Center in Austin, Texas. NGMM is a cornerstone of DARPA’s eforts to push beyond the cur- rent state-of-the-art and sustain long-term U.S. leadership in microelectronics. The program leverages three-dimen- sional heterogeneous integration (3DHI) of mixed materi- als to overcome the constraints of traditional silicon-based systems. Register here. The International Council on Systems Engineering will spon- sor the Asia-Oceania Systems Engineering Conference Oct. 27–29 in the island nation of Singapore. This international conference provides a platform for academics, research- ers, and industry practitioners to exchange insights, share research fndings, and discuss the latest advancements in Systems Engineering. INCOSE Asia-Oceania Systems Engineering Conference Systems and Mission Engineering Conference The 28th Annual Systems and Mission Engineering Confer- ence will take place Oct. 27–30 at the Grand Hyatt Tampa in Tampa, Fla. The theme for the 2025 conference is “DoD Mission-Ready: Digital Transformation Across the Systems’ Life Cycle.” This event brings together defense community members from industry, government, and academia to high- light ways for improving defense acquisition and system performance in an interactive forum for program managers, systems engineers, chief scientists, and specialty engineers and managers. Register here. The 2025 National Defense Industrial Association Multi- national Conference on Missile Defense will convene Oct. 28–30 at the Hilton Tokyo Odaiba in Tokyo, Japan. Delegates attending this year’s conference will hear views from various nations on key issues facing the missile defense community and discuss national policies and operational issues related to defeating ballistic missile threats.
