What to know before you go... ACCESSIBILITY AT THE INDOOR POOL

What has changed?

Where should I park?

We’ve updated the indoor pool to be more accessible and inclusive.

At the South Entrance, you’ll find a new exterior ramp. If you enter by this door, it’s only a short walk to the universal change rooms. Accessible parking spaces are located across from the pickleball courts. At the East Entrance (near outdoor rink), you’ll need to use an elevator to access the new universal change rooms. At the North Entrance, there are a number of accessible parking spots located on the street. If you park here, you’ll need to use an exterior ramp to enter the building, as well as an interior ramp to the upper lobby and elevator.

• New lobby and accessible entrance • New ramp entry to the pool with submersible wheelchair • New elevator • New barrier-free accessible viewing area • Upgrades to mens and womens change rooms • New universal change rooms

Who can use the universal change rooms?

Universal change rooms may be used by people of any gender, but are designed with caregiving and accessibility needs in mind. While universal change rooms are inclusive space, please note that changing in or out of a swimsuit should only be done in the dedicated changing cubicles. Nudity and undergarments are not acceptable in open areas.

What is a universal change room?

Our universal change rooms have spacious showers, private changing cubicles, private washroom stalls, day- use lockers and change tables.
