27th International symposium: Synthesis in organic chemistry

Functionalization of arylacetic acids via directing group assisted remote meta-C-H activation Dasari Srinivas , Kurella Mounika and Gedu Satyanarayana Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad, India Herein, we present the first microwave-assisted remote-C-H functionalization aided by a simple nitrile directing template. Notably, the present protocol showed broad substrate scope via enabling the meta -C-H arylation, acetoxylation, and cyanation. Significantly, the microwave accelerated meta -C-H functionalization was effective under short reaction times without compromising the yields and the site selectivity. In addition, ibuprofen drug diversification has been accomplished for arylation, acetoxylation, and cyanation. Significantly, the meta-dual- hetero functionalization has been presented.
