But dearest to the heart of Dr. and Mrs. Sutherland has been the direct work of Christ. After gradu ating from Princeton in 1926, Dr. Sutherland quickly moved into the pastorate. For five years he minis tered at the Grace Presbyterian Church of Los Angeles. In 1931, he became active in interdenominational work.
