Sustainability Intertwined With Tech, Production Choices BY GREG KISHBAUGH The eighth edition of the Print4All Conference, a forum for the printing and converting supply chain, was held earlier last month at Ville Ponti in Varese, Italy. The event, organized by ACIMGA – the Italian Manufacturers’ As- sociation of Machinery for the Graphic, Paper, Converting and Relat- ed Industries – and ARGI – the Italian Association of Graphic Industry Suppliers – in collaboration with Fiera Milano, welcomed 340 partici- pants, 72 international delegates from 22 countries, 240 companies, 22 speakers, with the support of 23 national and international media partners and 18 industry associations.
Nordmeccanica To Welcome Industry To Innovation Hub Nordmeccanica will open the doors to its North American Innovation Hub on Sep- tember 2, 2026. The facility, located in Hauppauge, New York, will feature a tech- nical event dedicated to sustainable flexible packaging. Nordmeccanica will host the event along- side industry partners Henkel and Wind- möller & Hölscher (W&H). The companies will demonstrate new technologies and conduct live lamination demonstrations designed to support the transition toward more sustain- able packaging. Attendees will also have the opportunity to network and discuss real-world applications that can help drive innovation and profitability.
“Throughout the event, guests will see live demonstrations of Nordmeccanica equipment in production, including paper/MetPET and mono-PE lamination, while learning about the latest market trends, material developments, and converting solutions,” explained Alex Bullock, Technical Sales Manager, Nordmec- canica. “The Nordmeccanica Innovation Hub was created to serve as a technology center for converters throughout North America. The facility provides customers with the oppor- tunity to evaluate new applications, conduct product trials, optimize processes, and collab- orate directly with our technical team before making investment decisions.”
Sustainability played a central role in discussions at the meeting, becoming increasingly intertwined with companies’ technological and production choices. Participants highlighted how any low-impact en- vironmental solution must simultaneously be technically reliable, in- dustrially scalable and economically sustainable. The transition toward sustainable production processes requires a systemic approach in- volving materials, technologies, processes and skills across the entire supply chain. Sustainability therefore becomes a shared project that cannot be delegated to a single link in the value chain but instead requires col-
