N orthern Kentucky is full of news this month! Buckle up and head south to the bluegrass state for some delicious cookies, some baseball and maybe explore a park or two, too! New RC track On your marks, get set, go! Burlington, Kentucky now has its very own radio-controlled car race track. Thanks to organizer Kevin Spanier, his son, and some helpful volunteer hands, families can take their RC cars to the tracks for a spin, and there are also organized races. This dirt RC track is sure to get miniature motors roaring; check out the “Idlewild RC Raceway” Facebook page for more information on rules and event dates. This new attraction is located near the BMX track at England Idlewild Park. Put “5550 Idlewild Road, Burlington, Ky” into your GPS and check it out for yourself! Now Open: Crumbl Cookie Newport, Kentucky just got a whole lot sweeter! A brand new Crumbl Cookie storefront opened up at 1313 Monmouth Street. Famous for their delectable, decorated cookies, Crumbl serves up a variety of six gourmet flavor offerings each week. Fans of Crumbl can browse online and order in-store pickup, stop by the storefront to check out the goods in person or even have cookies shipped straight to their doorstep. Soups Swing Shop Opens Those in the NKY youth baseball circuit will know of Mike Campbell aka Coach Soup’s highly successful hitting lessons. Coach Soup is taking his expertise from the basement to the big leagues by opening up a brand- new 4,500 square foot baseball and softball training center in Alexandria, Ky! Soup’s Swing Shop will feature six cages, lessons, and clinics. Families looking to invest in their players progress can sign up for the August 2024 Player Development program

which offers 12 total hours of practice time at hitting, throwing, glovework, and baserunning. Summer Fun Spotlight: Perfect Playgrounds Tower Park Grand Re-Opening Just in time for a perfect play date at the park, Tower Park will be debuting their new playground on Independence Day. Located at 911 Cochran Avenue in Fort Thomas, Ky the playground will include many accessible components and highlight a nature theme. Nestled under large oak trees, the park offers plenty of natural shade as well as canopies to keep surfaces cool. Get ready to slide, climb, crawl, and make new friends. The Boone Woods Park playground is the first ADA-accessible playground in all of Boone County! Play for all at this attraction means smooth rubber flooring, ramps, braille, and sensory- friendly components like musical instruments! New Playground Debuts at Alexandria Community Park A brand new playset is spreading joy at the Alexandria Community Park.
