P RODUCTION PROCESS

Engobe application: Engobes are semi- liquid, high-clay slurries that are coated on the tile before the process of glazing. Engobes assist in eliminating many form of reaction or defects that may result due to direct contact between the glaze and the surface. Glazing: This process involves coating the tile with an impervious layer that enhances its texture and makes it more resistant. Printing: Various tile printing techniques are employed utilising high temperatures and pressure. This process makes it possible to fuse the picture to the tile. Firing: The tile is subjected to high temperatures to strengthen it and achieve the desired level of porosity. This is an essential stage as it determines the stability, resistance and ease of maintenance of the tile. Selection and packing: Utmost care is taken to ensure that the final product meets the required specifications. Tiles that do not meet our high standards are discarded while the rest are sorted and packed.
