“What a time to be in the cattle business!” We have heard that repeated by cattlemen and women many times over the past months. True, we have never sold cattle as high as we are selling currently. But, rest assured, it won’t last forever. Leading economists are saying that this high market could last through the end of the decade and while 2029 seems some distance away, it will arrive all too soon. Take time during this current high market to upgrade genetics, facilities or other infrastructure pieces, and prepare for the times ahead. Our ranch wants you to be in business for the long haul, and we promise to provide genetic pieces that can help you build that strong foundation for the future. All of our registered animals are DNA tested and their EPD’s are genomically enhanced to provide the most accurate data to you, our valued customers. In addition, we use the RightChoice system through Allied Genetic Resources to further analyze the DNA on the animals we offer. This data provides further verification on our animals to help you make the best possible decisions when considering a purchase. The ACE, ATM and G+ designations are extremely accurate in helping direct your decision-making efforts. I suppose you could ask, is all this necessary? For the first time, we have a guest consignor to this sale. Ryan and Brett Looten are great neighbors and terrific friends to our family. These brothers have been using our bulls for several years, so it seemed an excellent progression to offer some of their commercial SimAngus heifers in this and future sales. We can’t thank them enough for their help over the last several years.
