Doctor comes in, reviews what they need to, makes their plan and you’re off on your way, see you next year! Historically, we just don’t do a great job of measuring movement on a regular basis. After walking to the exam room and climbing onto the table, when was the last time you did anything physical at your physical? Most commonly, we wait until we’ve already been injured until we test our posture, flexibility, strength, and movement... Maybe there is a better way? At Choice, we feel that the most empowering and beneficial part of Physical Therapy is gaining an understanding of how your body is supposed to be moving and how YOUR body may be compensating. Transitioning to a proactive approach as opposed to being reactive can make a world of difference both in terms of how you feel as well as how you move.
