Sedgwick Gardens, a West Mount Airy luxury apartment community. Remarkably, 75 years later, Sedgwick Gardens is still managed by the Lindy Family. A recent multi-million dollar renovation modern- ized Sedgwick Gardens, while retaining its historic charm. Today, Sedgwick Gardens is a crown jewel of West Mount Airy. In 1961, second genera- tion Philip and Alan, built Westgate Arms in Jefferson, Montgomery County. Almost 50 years later, Westgate Arms remains proudly offered by

the Lindy Family. From the 1950s to the 1960s, the Lindy Brothers built over 1000 new apartments and 2000 new homes. During the 1960’s, 70’s, and 80’s, together, Philip and wife, Annabel, expanded Lindy Property Management throughout Philadelphia and surrounding counties. In the 1980s, third genera- tion Frank and Alan came on board. The family’s services extended to new construc- tion (The Enclaves), Student Housing (YoNo and Academia Suites), for sale condominiums, and a full service Senior life-

style housing (The Yorkhouse). We are equally proud of the refined life-style at The Park at Westminster and Warrington Crossings in Bucks County, the Crossings at Stanbridge in Lansdale, Meadowbrook and its 18 hole golf course, The Towers at Wyncote, Pennsyl- vania’ largest highrise residen- tial apartment community and other premier communities throughout Philadelphia and Montgomery Counties. Times have changed, but our commitment to service and su- perior housing value remains steadfast. n

green power to offset 100% of the communities’ electric consumption reflecting the family’s longstanding com- mitment to environmental sustainability. The Lindy Communities’ nine separate solar panel sys- tems, state of the art Energy Star windows, appliances and heating and air conditionings systems, 97% efficient central boilers, community gardens, bike share and recycling all encourage healthy, homes to thousands of residents and their families. We remain dedicated to minimizing car- bon footprint and supporting sustainable business practices. Lindy Communities has committed to purchasing 24,627 megawatt hours (MWh) of renewable energy credits per year. The power support- ed by the credits is sourced from wind farms located in the Midwest region of the United States. The amount of green power purchased by the management company Lindy Communities will offset nearly 16,982 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions — equiva- lent to avoiding the annual carbon dioxide emissions of al- most 2,336 U.S. homes or more than 3,575 passenger vehicles, 6,087 tons of waste diverted from landfills; the drop in carbon dioxide emissions from displacing 1,910,840 gallons of gasoline; or the carbon seques- tered annually by 13,919 acres of U.S. forest. Renewable energy credits, or RECs, are how green power is tracked and traded and is the accepted way to reduce carbon emissions in North America. When a renewable energy facility produces one MWh of electricity and adds it to the power grid, one correspond- ing REC is also generated. Organizations that purchase RECs corresponding to their electrical consumption can be assured that an equiva- lent amount of clean power was generated at a renew-
