Original Squeeze In Truckee Location Celebrates 50 years in Business

IN THIS ISSUE

SQUEEZE IN

If you lived in or visited the Truckee area at any point since 1974, then chances are you’ve visited (or at least heard about) the 10 feet wide by 62 feet long experience that is the Squeeze In. Serving up the “best omelettes on the planet,” this unique restaurant with the writing on the walls has left its mark on a countless number of patrons – perhaps most notably, the Young family, who took control of the restaurant in 2004. Misty and Gary Young, whose daughters Shila and Kay were 17 and 10 respectfully at the time, retired in 2017 turning the ownership over to their daughters who currently operate the brand as co-owners and co-board chairs. Kay Young tells the story of how the popular restaurant came to be. “All the way back in 1974, a group of Truckee ski bums got together and just started slinging omelettes in a tiny kitchen downtown. Originally the Squeeze In didn’t even have a dining room – they served omelettes out of the back alley.” “And eventually, I think after three years, one of the ski bums, his name was Otis, came in and took it over and made it into an official restaurant. And this has been an institution in Truckee ever since.”

Mobile Home Inspections We have completed the park inspections of your home and lot. Notices will be going out soon. Coachland will notify you of any painting, repairs or clean-up that needs to be done. All repairs are expected to be done a timely manner. No Street Parking Please remember that Coachland does not allow street parking. Our streets are not wide enough to permit this. If you are parking on the street, you could be keeping first responders from answering an emergency call. As stated in the Coachland rules and regulations: Parking is permitted only in designated parking spaces. VEHICLES ARE NOT TO BE PARKED ON THE STREETS! Service vehicles may park on the street while servicing a home/homesite. Short-term (15-20 minutes) parking is permitted for loading/unloading only. Per California Law, "No vehicle parking shall be allowed on two-lane, two-way roadways less than thirty-two (32) feet in width.” Coachland roads are twenty-eight (28) feet or less in width. Thank you ahead of time for helping keep our streets free of cars.

Loud Music Are you or someone you know, speeding through the neighborhood blasting your music? If you are guilty of this, it’s time to make a change. Have consideration for your neighbors and be respectful. Blasting your music in a quiet neighborhood is seen as immature and childish. Please turn your music down and slow your car down!

Did you know? Did you know that it’s against Coachland rules to conduct a business out of your Mobilehome? This includes selling food and drinks. Below is the regulation in the Coachland rules that you agreed to Homesite Residence: No business or other commercial activity shall be permitted, as per the Town of Truckee's Municipal Code, which governs the uses permitted on residentially zoned property. Today, many people work with computers from the home; however, no commercial activity which uses the Park address as a business address, or causes business traffic to be brought into the Park, is allowed, unless deemed a "community service" under the law. Any use of this kind must have Management's written approval. Yard/moving sales are permitted (see rule #5-F regarding signage and Park approval). Residents may not use or permit their home or home site to be used for any purpose other than as residency for persons approved to live in the home. House-sharing through various websites, such as Air B&B; Vacation Rentals by Owner (VRBO), etc. is not permitted, as per Rule #2-D.1 and signed: Commercial Activities/Sales/Use of
